Are you feeling it?

I'm feeling it somewhat but I really feel like something is missing. I can't really pin-point it but could be mulitple things. Well, whether you have it or not, Merry Christmas everybody.

Nope. Wasn't in the right country last year, not in the right state this year, and not in the right country next year. No biggy tho.

Too commercialized now. It has lost its nostalgia... from before (even though part of that is because I am older)

I was feeling it until my father had a heart attack over the weekend and then a subsequent double bypass 2 days ago. He's recovering fine and pretty much out of the woods, but I just can't recapture the holiday spirit I had last week.

And just to make sure I got the message, last night the electric cord that I run all my Christmas lights on zapped out and caught on fire as I was adjusting it. Luckily the house didn't burn down but now there's no Christmas lights until I hit Home Depot tonight.

sorry to hear that about your dad. mine had a heart attack and subsequent triple bypass operation. i've never quite felt as helpless as i did when i first saw him in the hospital.

take care, it's a tough row to hoe but i guarantee you things will get better! 🙂

btw: i'm not feeling the spirit this year. it's my last day of work so perhaps it will hit me over the next couple days. like you said... something's missing.

Christmas is a bit mixed up for me right now, lady issues Geesshh other than that going to eat lots and enjoy the company of my family and friends. Best wishes to all.

"The Season of Christmas" is pretty much what I've lived the last few years of my life for... but no, I'm not really in the Christmas mood at all. 🙁 I have a feeling this will probably be my worst Christmas yet. heh

yes, i am really feeling it this year.
I made a promise to myself that i would because every other year christmas felt like any other day.

I have been making it a point to really enjoy christmas lights in the area, listen to christmas music, take time to look at all of our special ornaments on our tree, spend time with loved ones, etc.

Merry Christmas 🙂

I am sure i would feel even more in the spirit if we had children, but i will be happy enough opening gifts with the hubby

This is the perfect example why I hate christmas.

Why is everybody suddenly supposed to be happy and nice to everyone for a month? How about trying to be happy and nice all year around? What a novel, freaking, idea...

Very much so. I was completely out of it last year. The right gifts, recipes, lights, people, etc. It's all working out so far. 🙂

I love you guys. 😀

It's getting to the point where Christmas really isn't Christmas unless it's snowing outside, with a nicely decorated tree half covered with gifts and your house decked with as many flashing lights as possible. Hey this is what I see on TV and movies all the time.

Sadly I come home to my bare apartment with no snow outside, no tree nor gifts, and no flashing lights. Could that be why I'm not feeling it?
