Are you familiar with Dreamcast's VGA Box?

It allows you to play DC using a computer monitor, where you can get better resolution.

I want to get one, but isn't that the same thing to a TV Tuner?

I think the VGA box provides a much higher quality signal to the monitor. A TV Tuner card would have the signal get converted to composite(RCA) or even RF, then converted by the tv card to a signal your monitor could interpret. Probably higher quality than a TV because of the resolution of a monitor.
But the VGA box takes the much higher quality signal from the DC's multi-out and sends it straight to the monitor. As far as I know, its the highest quality video out for any game console out now.
It all boils down to the multi-out on the DC being able to output many levels of signal depending on the connection.

Warning, though - not every game supports it, but some 3rd party (non-sega) ones can fool many titles into using it. But still not all, I think.

The VGA box allows the dreamcast to send a 640x480 *progressive* image to a VGA monitor compared to the interlaced image it sends to the TV. For games that support it, it makes a TREMENDOUS difference.

Play Soul Calibur on your Tv and then put it on the VGA Box and watch the little details that pop out to you all of a sudden, it sucks for 2d fighters cause the image is too sharp and it makes pixelization more noticeable. but 3d games, wow.....nfl2k1 is also a world of difference.

I'm getting it..
I'm getting it.

Yeah :p

Now what I need is Sony's 22" Wide aspect display.

THEN F355 Challenge will be PERFECT.

Muahahahah!

Celeron 2 566A@1020 Mhz
Card Cooler XT
Asus P3BF
Annihilator GTS
Plextor 8/4/32A
Pioneer 16X Tray DVD
SB Live X-Gamer
HeatWare

I find this very weird. You list the Card Cooler, but not the amount of memory you have? :p
Just my opinion. I'm not saying you should change it or anything. :p
It's just uncommon. :p

Lupin - compare the different ones. I know some allow you to switch between TV and Monitor easily, rather than plugging them in one at a time.

BTW - are you able to win at F355? That game is so hard!

Optimus:
I've only seen one type so far. Only at www.baysoftgames.com. Local stores don't have it.

F355 is a different type of game. It's not hard, just different. BRAKING is the key. NEVER enter a corner too fast, and take the racing line correctly.

5 out of 10 I ends up in 3rd place. 1 out of 10 I finishes 1st. I play mostly in Suzuka circuit (long & short). Monza is also good, but very hard to win. The american track (long beach??) and the other japanese track is very hard.

Seph,
It's true. Yu suzuki wants to make it as real as possible. Thus, the cockpit view.
