I only donated $100 through Amazon. I feel kind of guilty because I had spent so much on myself this Christmas but because of that, I don't feel comfortable giving much more.

I'm leaning towards not, because like after 9/11, everyone is pouring money into this one disaster while other good charities get much less funding than usual.

So I'll probably just make my usual end-of-year donations to Northwest Harvest (WA food bank supplier) and Seattle Times Fund for the Needy (distributed to a bunch of WA charities).

People in the US will probably end up donating more money than can actually be spent usefully. This is not a bad thing, but meanwhile there are single moms right here in Washington trying to keep food on the table for their kids, so I'll help them while the rest of you help the tsunami victims.
