Are you confusing a headset with headphones?

Well are you? Too many people in general hardware posting they want a headset without a mic .

On AT, please use headphones for those without mics.

lol, apparently my defenitions are screwed up. I always thought that headphones and headsets were basically the same, with the only differences being that headsets cover your ears while headphones you put the little bud inside your ear.

Those are earbuds.
Canalphones are the ones that actually go in your ear canal, hence the name canalphones.
Earbuds hang near the canal.

Honestly, I've never known there to be a difference and I've always experienced the usage where both terms are interchangable. Doesn't that change the definition by default?
