Or are you already one ??
I'm definately becoming a phone junkie.
Back 5-10 yrs ago when I was a compuetr junkie buying parts to upgrade every few months although there was no need for it.
Now I feel like I need to get the latest and greatest phone even though I have a nice one now(HD2).
I'm going to get my hand on an iphone 4 as soon as the hoopla dies down a bit.
Then we have Windows phone 7 coming this winter and dual core proccessors.
This is also a main reason for me to stay on T-mobile as I can still move my SIM around using the GSM network(although 3G won't work on some phones, wifi's are still plenty).

Nope, I try to get some mileage out of my phones. Still have my 2 year old iPhone 3g, and I'll wait a couple more months to get a 4.

Not exactly. I talk very little and after having so many nice smart phones with so many expensive data plans, I have to admit I dont surf as much as I should. Am thinking a basic phone next time around with limited data is all I'll need.

Its tempting to buy a new phone every time they release a new one, but I'm usually able to restrain myself. I do like to read about reviews and technical details from the latest high tech gadgets though.

If you got rid of cable TV and only purchased a basic plan from your ISP you probably could have all the phones you want.
But it you find one series you like and only stay within that framework, you would find upgrading every year to be inconsequential. As an example I had a Nokia E71 last year and they are already up to the E73. It doesnt look like they make many changes between versions, so I'd probably be ticked off if I paid for every single one.

Yep, I use OTA TV and my cars are paid for, so I can buy some fun toys...

No way! I hate talking on the phone period! When I leave home my cell phone is OFF. It is only ON when I need to make a call for some important reason.

I don't have cable TV, or own a TV at all, for that matter. :p My service was Cox Communications is middle of the road, not their high end tier, but not their low tier either. As much as I love gadgets and electronic toys, there are other things I value more that I would prefer to spend my limited resources on.

Pretty much. I have gone through one about every six months for the last couple of years. It would have been more than that but Sprint hasn't had any other phones worth having.

almost. After I went to smartphones (last year), this influx of new ones has tempted me. Especially w/ sprint giving me an upgrade every year instead of 2....

but i've resisted. no need to spend the extra money when my phone works fine (and fairly well after overclocking it, ha). We'll see if I break it...

i would be a cell phone junkie but verizon makes it very difficult since they only support a few phones worth getting. if it were possible to go out and buy any phone and start using it on their network i would get the following:
ipnone, the unlocked nokia phones that dell is always selling cheap, blackberry bold (better than my tour), and evo

i keep hearing that phones outsell computers but how? everyone buys a couple computers a year but you cant/dont really do that with cellphones

Around 99 I use to be a phone junkie, that was when the US was starting to get some next level phones. I had a Sanyo 5150 which was the 2nd phone in the US with a color screen, Nobody had a color phone back then so it was OMGWTFBBQ when people saw it. Same with the Sanyo 5300 with a camera I had. Nobody had seen a camera on a cell phone. I even got a few females numbers because of the camera. Today it seems mostly everyone has a hi-tech phone. While I still like a cool new phone, the fun factor has wore off because hi-tech phones have become something common people have. Where 10 years ago having a phone with a color screen got you looks of awe from others.
