For the record I am not, wife, son and parents are up from Florida. First Christmas in 15 yearsI have spent with them.


Anyway are you alone tonight and/or tomorrow and why are you alone? Family to far to drive working or something else.

I'm heading over to a friend's house. My nearest family is basically about 1500 miles away, so getting together is not practical.
 
I'm confused, how do you go 15 years w/o spending christmas w/ your wife??

in any event, my wife and i are watching TV after just playing santa for our 1.5yo daughter, so i am by far alone 🙂

Sorry about that, it is my parents that I have not had a Christmas with in 15 years.
 
I chose to be alone this christmas. If I'm going to feel miserable, might as well be miserable by myself. I declined all gifts and didn't get anybody anything.

Had 6 beers and think I'm about to call it a night.

Why would you chose to be alone?
 
Same old same old for me for the past 4 years. Alone on Christmas. It's just another day for me but that's how I like it. Course, I work so I get time and a half.

No holidays really many anything at all to me. I work nights Sunday night through Thursday night and I'm off Friday and Saturday night. My life is incredibly linear and I wouldn't have it any other way 😀
 
I'm alone. Will be alone tomorrow also. I've gotten used to it. It's been the same for the last 10 years or so. Let's just say we've never been a close family. LOL
 
I'm along right now, but I had dinner with my family earlier... we're having breakfast at my uncle's early tomorrow morning, then it's back to my parents house to exchange gifts and I'll probably spend the rest of the day in my apartment vegging out.

I need to find an open grocery store tomorrow, though... I've got no food in my apartment and I somehow doubt my parents are giving me some 2-liter bottles of soda and various canned goods tomorrow 😉

You could go to a local Asian food restaurant. I know all of the Asian buffets around here are open tomorrow.

Thanks Tyler. It's actually not so bad. There's no fighting and awkwardness. And I don't have to buy any presents for them. I'm used to it though. I can watch football and eat whatever I want. 🙂

that's probably what I'll end up doing 🙂 sure beats eating rice and water, the only things I have in my apartment. lol.

I'm with you on that one. My family is pretty messy and I have kind of alienated myself from them over the years. It's sad but I brought it upon myself. I envy those with functional families it must be nice to celebrate holidays.
