Not your lunch break, but your 2 (15 min) or 1 30min break you get eac day. Are you allowed to leave your building when you take it. We are allowed to leave, but some people I have spoken to said they can't leave since htey are still on the clock.

I'm not sure. If I need to leave the building, I'll just make that my lunch and get lunch at the same time. And the time it takes to get out of the building and to my vehicle, there'd be no point in doing that on a 15 or even 30 min break.

Fixed your spelling there.

I don't get 2 15 minute breaks or a 30 minute break... I just work 40 hours a week at whatever time I want and they don't really care what I do or where I do it.

Yeah we do. We just combine the two smaller breaks with the 30 minute lunch break to give an hour so we have time to go out to lunch (if we didn't pack)

meh, I'm salaried, it doesn't really matter where I am when, so long as I get my work done and I make any required meetings.

Generally no. For your 15 minute break you are still on the clock, and in this state if you go do something (like rob a bank or get in an accident, etc) the company can be held liable.

Same here. And we can even attend those meetings remotely, for the most part.

"Real" jobs FTW!

You do get the 15 minute breaks and they are paid. It's the law

I only get a scheduled 30 minute unpaid lunch.
Everything else is extra time to make up

Not if you're salaried.

we don't get official breaks... I can leave whenever I want to within reason as long as I'm not the only person in the office. I just tell my boss, "hey, I need to cut out for twenty minutes for (whatever), you mind?"
