Are you able to upgrade Vista Home Premium to ULTIMATE

You'll probably have to install additional features from the upgrade DVD, but you won't need to clean install the OS or anything.

Yep you do an upgrade install so the additional features are available.
 
Just remember that any major OS work entails a risk of losing data. Folks format the wrong disk or the upgrade goes awry and makes a mess of things. I always recommend having a recent backup of anything that's important to you.
