I'm not a workaholic, but I bet it would be nice to be one--maybe I wouldn't be as far behind on so many projects then. I do work seven days a week, including holidays, and I often go for long stretches on 2-3 hours of sleep per night (but I'm "on call" when I sleep, anyway), but there's just a lot to be done and much of the time it still seems I'm not making much of a dent in it.
Never did do the whole relationship-and-family thing, but that's not just because of work demands, because when things haven't been so busy, no one was interested, so it's not like I'm missing out on much by focusing on work.
On the plus side, even though the last five or six years have basically involved working any time I wasn't sleeping, I don't feel "burned out" or anything like that. I'd rather have the work I do be more rewarding than to have less of it to do.
