Are you a n00b?

Find out if you're a n00b! Take this little quiz (or have someone you know take it), and see how many you can get right!

[Obviously this is just for fun, and maybe a little education too for the true n00b's (like me) out there!] Just figure out which letter corresponds most closely to each item listed. I'm sure some of you will think it's juvenile, but I enjoyed making the quiz nonetheless.

Didn't pwned originate with starcraft?

The origin is debated, but there are two popular theories:
1) a misspelling within the Warcraft game
2) a misspelling by a well-known Quake gamer

Nobody knows which is correct.

Interesting. I was under the impression it started with the korean invasion in starcraft. Shows how much I pay attention. 😛

SATA is an interface. PATA and SCSI are also interfaces. Would you call either of these "A type of hard-drive"?

Well each interface has its respective HDs. And those hard-drives are usually identified primarily by their interfaces. So the interface that a HD is compatible with puts it within a certain class or type.

It may rub you a bit wrong, but c is still the "best" answer.

This question could have been made a bit more tricky by including a "none of the above" answer, however.

Sombody from highly technical should make a quiz...I bet %95 of us would fail.

Yeah right, half of those guys are so full of 5h1t it is oozing out of their eyes. 40% are somewhat intelligent & get by with their use of the English language. 9% are of reasonably high intelligence & also appear more intelligent than they are either by their knowledge from school or their articulation again, neither of which shows true intelligence but only an ability to retain information. The other 1% are either highly knowledgable in their skill set or just flat out smart (IQ 120+).

Look at it this way, a plummer could give us a test and 99% of us would bomb it. Does that make him highly intelligent or does it make us ill prepared? The answer is obvious.

Oh and pwned originated with a Quake goober who mispelled the word, but all his lackeys thought he was 1337 c00ln355 & started spreading it like a virus. This thread has been Pwn3d by Pr0d1gy.

The problem is that this is supposed to be a quiz to find out if someone is a noob. I bet there are a lot of noobs that think that SATA is a type hard drive.

You are correct but if you had to choose one of those 4, then the hard drive one would be the best choice.

PWNED did not originate from WoW, I knew that word well before November 2004, I believe it originated from the infamous Counter-Strike.
