My parents where never the "cool" parents, but i am glad they weren't cuz they were parents then, and now that i am set on my feet, and have a good moral base, they can now be friends with power user privledges

I buy video games for my kids. But only the games that I want to play.

It's way more fun not being "cool parent" when you have teenagers. It's so much easier to laugh at them when you aren't trying to keep up. Teens can be really hilariously stupid, from the grown-up point of view.
