Or no cash at all?

I am pretty anal about keeping my bills in order of denomination in my wallet - with larger bills towards the outside of the wallet and smaller bills towards the inside.

On occasion I'll let a bill get out of place but the vast majority of the time it's pretty organized.

What say you good people of ATOT?

Both. I use cash exclusively, and cram it into my wallet to save time at the register. After a couple days of that, I pull it all out, make the bills face the same way, and organize them by denomination.

All plastic in my wallet. Keep a $20 in my car and one in my laptop bag when traveling just in case.

making the bills face the same way. I applaud you. That's dedication and never occurred to me.

Oh, yeah, I do that too. All bills oriented the same way. Just bugs me otherwise. I'm not a big cash person but I usually try to keep a bit on me for convenience.

I only carry whatever cash/cards I plan to use for the outing I'm going to. I hate the bulkyness of a wallet. Though I've seen wallets that are basically really thin and can hold like 10 cards and a bit of cash, they're like a metal container and not bulky like a traditional wallet, I need to look into finding one of those.

I tend to somewhat organize my cash, but generally I'll only have 20's anyway. The smaller denominations get used up for coffee/fast food fairly quickly.

I have a huge stack of Canadian Tire money that is somewhat organized. There's probably like $5 in there, it's pretty thick. :p

When I get paid in cash, I'll have several hundred to several thousand dollars on me. I'll paper clip $20 bills into stacks of $500 and the $100 bills into stacks of $2000. I don't usually get other denominations, so I'll keep those in my wallet for spending.

I get paid in cash sometimes, it's usually around $135 to $270 at a time. Specific numbers because that's how much it costs to hire me as a real estate photographer. Anything more than $500 in my wallet gets deposited at a bank asap. You really will walk around with several thousand dollars until you spend it all?

I rarely use cash. I only use cash on rare occasions such as laundry (large items), car wash, hair cut at the barber shop, vending machine (can't stand the CC machine at those places) and some other places. Otherwise, 2% - 3% cash back credit cards for everything else every day.

I use a gold nugget style money clip I bought in the Los Angeles jewelry district in 1982. My bills are in order in it. Lowest denomination on the outside. I use cash as much as I can.

Wallet is just a bit bigger than a credit card and holds only CC, DL and various insurance cards.

1. I try to keep around $30,000 in cash at home as a rainy day fund.

2. Gun sellers generally want to be paid in cash, and I buy a lot of guns.

Pretty much what I do, although I'm using cash less and less with every passing day. I went into a grocery store the other day to get something on sale. They were out, but I grabbed three bananas*. Paid for it with my debit card at the register, because it's just easier these days and even the clerks prefer it. They don't give a damn that the transaction total was 82 cents.

I've grown to hate when a clerk hands me a wad of bills, a few coins, and a sales receipt. With a card, it's just a receipt if you want it. You can just put it in the bag, thank you.

(* Three bananas from the same bunch is the ideal number if you're single. Four becomes iffy on whether the last one will be overripe three days after the first one. Of course, you can also buy one or two ripe ones and a couple of greener ones.)

Bills are organized in my wallet so it's quicker to grab what i need. Sometimes, at home, i'll get them all oriented & facing the same way.

the different sizes aren't that obvious with my currency so I don't care. I also don't have time to fiddle with money when I'm in a hurry to pay and get my beer.

Not in my wallet - they just go wherever. There is more organization to my money mattress though. Most people will tell you that $50s are the softest but I like a nice 2" topper layer of $100s. Then a 3" layer of $50s and a 3" layer of $20s on the bottom for support

That said my wallet is more organized when I travel. Two days ago I had Hungarian Forints, Euros and dollars in my wallet, separated by type and arranged by denomination
