I was back to 56k for about 2.5 days. it was HELL! I didn't find any of you is 56k friendly with all the large pictures and video. 🙁
heck, I am not going back to 56k at all costs. 😀

no, im not monitor friendly either at 1600x1200 the jpegs i post are 2.5 megs

i posted a 35meg jpeg the other day 12600x6000

yeah, I hate it when people post pictures in their default digicam res which is usualy 2000x1500 or higher, not just that its lots and lots of kb's but also because its impossible to see the picture because you only see a part of it at a time.

Resize to 640x480 or something similar and ill be happy

hehehe mine are 3008x2000

and i resize them to 1600x1200

Yep. With the exception of video and audio files, I figure a general rule of thumb is that, when you write a webpage, you should be able to hold your breath comfortably for the length of time it takes to load at 28.8kbps.

I always resize my pics to less then 1024x768 for net use. Normally 800x600 or 640x480. Saves time and I don't want to wait for load up!

Yes. Because I too am stuck in 56k hell 🙁

<rant>
I've never understood the people who can't resize pics, though. Look, even though you finally got a picture of your dog blowing the mailman I'm still not going to use it as my wallpaper so I don't need it at 2272x1704 or whatever other bullsh!t resolution you've uploaded at.
