Nope. There was talk to make all the popular messenger services compatible but apperently they decided against it. Would be kinda nice though.

They will never be comnpatible untill one buy out the other. Netscape & M$ is doing a great job of dismantelling the Internet standard. (Multiple versions & flavors of HTMLs, CGI & ASP, JavaScript/Perl & JScript/VBScript, ODBC & ADO, Java & VB/C++/C$harp, etc...)
