Are x1900xts disappearing already?

Seems like newegg has a lot less models available for it and the price has started to inch its way up. I thought it'd be at least another month before that started to happen.

It makes sense since the X1950 coming out, which is at a similar price. They're probably clearing out what's left of the X1900XTX stock at a bit of a premium before the X1950 goes mass market.

Yeah, I noticed that too.

This is off topic but I've noticed that DDR2 RAM prices are also going up on Newegg. A 2GB kit from Patriot that used to be $225 is now $275. The $261 Corsair EPP kit is now $300+. The $240 G.Skill kit is now $280+.

And its not just the DDR2-800 @ CAS 4 stuff. Corsair's DDR2 800 (CAS 5) 2GB kit that used to be $180ish is now $215 or something. WTF? I thought memory was supposed to become cheaper with time. I guess demand is going up because of all the mad E6300/E6400 overclocking.

I just got an X1900XT 512MB for £199 inc. tax here in the UK, I don't know about the United States but over here that is absurdly cheap.

Shop around is my advice. I just got a 2gb kit of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 from ZZF for $199 AR while Newegg is charging $349 for the same kit.

I'm just gonna stick on my DDR for now. The only purchase I was planning to make anytime soon is a new video card and I was most interested in the x1900xt. But its starting to look like my waiting for the right timing as just gone fubar.
