are wired gaming mice better than wireless ones?

Good modern wireless mice perform every bit as well as their wired cousins. Logitech's MX and G series, for instance, are excellent with or without wires.

There is no difference from what I've seen of using them. I got the G5 over the G7 because I don't want to deal with charging or batteries. The cord on the G5 is nice too.

The logitech mx revolution and g7 laser are the only wireless mice that don't lag. The g7 is pretty bad on battery life, but the revolution improves upon that. I can imagine that the g5 is marginally more precise, but the avg. user won't notice that.

Like another poster said, the G7 is the only one that doesnt lag, but has horribly short battery life.

The logitech revolution is not meant for gaming, and is not a gaming mouse.
If it was, it'd be written all over the package. The only thing it boasts over other mice is its "super fast scrolling", which anybody can get any other mouse to do.
Corded mice are still the way to go. :)

My MX610 skips from time to time, but that's easy to get used to. I'd much rather have it then a wired mouse.

The only reason I still have a wired mouse, is because most wireless mice are far to "heavy" for my liking.
