That does not look like any wild rabbit I have ever seen but more like someone's pet that either got loose or was abandoned. You will not get that close to a bunny in the wild unless it is a rare case. I have been around thousands of rabbits in the field and not only were they all gray/brown they all would not let you walk up to them.
If anyones been to the Texas Tech Campus, you would know thats untrue.
Where as Texas A&M has a feral cat problem, Texas Tech has a jack rabbit problem. These are HUGE rabbits twice the size of a cat. They roam in packs, and will run extremely fast if you get within 5-10 ft of them.
