I was walking through Walmart and looked in the Electronics department for some XBox 360 games. I happened to notice that they had a Nintendo Wii. This is the first time I've ever seen one in a store.

Did Nintendo finally get on the ball and start making decent numbers of these? I picked the Wii up and it was the last one they had. I'll have to hook it up this weekend.

With 7 million sold worldwide, I don't think the Wii's are readily available anywhere yet. You were just in the right place at the right time.

There was six of them at Wal-Mart here where I live this afternoon. That was the first time I have seen one in a store since I bought mine.

I've seen them on and off. They're never there for long though. I say you got lucky.

I've never seen one in a store. I did see a bunch of wiimotes and nunchucks for the first time in awhile the other day. Of course I stopped looking when my girlfriend bought me one.

They come in everyonce in a while here, but you have to be aware of shipments because they are gone in a day or two.

Heh, I asked the clerk for a Wii while they were still on the shelves. He said "Yeah, for once we're not sold out." Since mine was the last one, I told him he was sold out now.

I haven't seen any systems but at Wal-Mart they have the accessories (remote, nunchuck, mem cards, etc).
