Are we ever going to see Dual P4 (NonXeon) Motherboards??

Would require changing the cpu's architecture. Doubtful they'll do that until the current ones have paid for themselves. Maybe next year or the year after, if ever.

Why not a dual Athlon TBird or Athlon Palomino? It whoops the P4 in 3D Studio Max.

The regular P4's are not SMP enabled. I bulit a dual Xeon system at work and the mobo plus cpu's were $760(from a local shop)so if you really want a dual P4 rig the Xeon's are not that expensive.

Nope for Williamette's, but actually, I've heard things that say that Northwood will be SMP capable. We'll have to wait and see about that one

The INTEL tualatin 512k cache 1.266 are GREAT. They do twice the work of a p4 xeon 1.7 ghz proc in benchmarks like rc5.

Good tualatin system would be rock solid. A dual mp amd system at 1.2 would be just as good but i prefer intels.
