No we don't. It is sad but the almighty buck is more important.
I can't imagine the environmentalists are too happy about the US drilling for oil on that nature reserve in Alaska - you know, the one that was protected for generations until Bush finally found a way to cut through the red tape?

Actually, the saddest thing is, people believe this chicken little bullsh!t.
Most of you aren't old enough, but the greenies have been pulling this "the sky is falling" bullsh!t for decades. NONE of their short-term doom predictions come true, and they end up with egg on their face.
Folks, what you have here is the greenie version of the religious nutball screaming about the end of the world.

Bush found a way to cut through red tape? You mean where the Senate elected by the people of this country finally passed the bill to allow drilling. Why pretend that it is all Bush's fault?

worst bit is, we are boned, and even the tough as fvuck die hard rape the environment boys will have to admit it in the next half-century...and they'll be firmly pointing the finger at governments and the like rather than admit responsibility...

It sounds like they already made up their mind before they even started their survey.

that was true decades ago, but for example, we have seen significant climate change in WA in the last 20 years- right on line with government (CSIRO) predictions...
think of it sensibly, does it seem like the planet can survive long-term, as we know it, with a massive proportion of its ecosystems changed beyond all recognition?

You're right - Bush doesn't have anything to do with drilling there.

Newsflash:
The Earth's Climate has been changing ever since it formed. It was NEVER in a static state. Some of the historic changes were drastic and... get this... within a century.
