Are via chipsets any worse, quality-wise than amd/ati/intel/nvidia?

The question is a bit moot in itself. You'll hardly find a "bad" chipset these days ... it's more in the engineering quality of the mainboards. Good and bad ones can be made from any chipset out there.

I wished there were more choices for full atx intel based non-integrated video tweakable motherboards with via/sis chipsets on the market.
