I'd have to say yes. I remember him saying something to the effect of, "This is the worst thing to happen to college athletics in my lifetime" (paraphrasing) when Va Tech and Miami were talking with the ACC. Now that Big East is turning into a basketball powerhouse at the expense of C-USA. I'm not much of a college football fan but I love to watch college hoops and in particular the Big East. So, to me, this whole situation was great for the Big East.
