Are those guys selling perfume and cologne in parking lots selling fake stuff ?

I'm sure you been aproached by a well dress young person selling
some fasionable perfume or cologne (CoolWater, Polo, CK) etc..
that they're carrying in a carboard box.
I think the bottles and labels look real, but they're selling for way under
retail. Anyways, out of curiousity, wondering if the product is legit.
I wouldn't ever buy anything from them or from any one else
aproaching me on the street, but I get enough of those perfume guys coming up to
me, I just wondered if they're like the white van speaker dudes.

Oh no, they're legit. When an employee of one of the perfume companies shows that they no longer understand their customers, the company sends them out to sell on the street and re-connect with the people that make the company a success.

It's one of those management tools you read about, like "tiger teams" and "greenboxing"

Yeah, dont big name audio manufacturers do the same thing with their speakers.

We had some lingering around when I worked at Target. I was told to tell them to leave by my manager. I dont know what possessed him to think that they'd listen to a 19 year old, but eventually he ended up having to ask them to buzz off.

I do think they are legitimate though. The company just didnt want them selling stuff on their property.

I got sprayed once.. I thought it was funny because I smelled so bad that day that a stranger actually sprayed cologne on me.
