Are those alpine ipod adapters good?

I am going to be buying a new head unit and some speakers for my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse this summer.

On bestbuy.com they have this Alpine reciever and Alpine Ipod connector that connects to both the ipod and the head unit so that you can use the head unit as the interface for the ipod and just keep the ipod on the glove compartment or something.

This sounds pretty much amazing
Anyone have any comments about it?

Also...on bestbuy.com when i put in 2001 mitsubishi eclipse it doesnt have any as "fitting" except the marine stereos! whats this about?!? i'm sure a decently popular car such as the mitsubishi should be compatible with things like this, shouldn't it? its not that old or anything...

not sure about the DIN size of your dash, but i'm sure they have a dash kit for a 1/2 DIN radio to fit.

There are a few HU's in this week's BB ad that have an IPOD controller for an aditional cost ($199 i think).
