Are this power supply and mother board compatible.

Well I have never found a good article about the different standards of power supplys so I am asking is this power supply compatible with a motherboard.
First the power supply.

And the mother board.

I know it has enough sata and pci-exp connectors for sli
I would also appreciate it if someone could post a good article on power supply types and how to determine which motherboard needs which power supply.

Uhh... They are... but I wouldn't recommend the power supply? It's just that thing that if the company isn't really reputable, well known, or top tier, it's not worth our money. For the motherboard, upgrade to a deluxe or premium (premium for overclocking.)..

What you just need to search for is an ATX V2.0 power supply... any higher like v2.2 is good too 🙂.

Go Seasonic S-12 600W. You're spending some bucks on mobo, and most likely on other higher end components?
ATers would recommend this PSU for your rig.

I would recomend the 450w Fortron at newegg for $51. Runs my X1800XT 2 SATA drives 1 Ide drive and 3 optical drives with no problem at all. There is way to much overkill on the PSU's these days. Other than if your going SLI. Fortron is a very respected PSU.
