That was a mixed response.. actually surprised it wasn't worse because D.C. is 90% Democrat.

Tell ya what, I gotta a lot of issues with Bush, but I think history will look back on him, say 50 years from now, quite favorably.

I heard a lot of boos mixed with a lot of cheers, but that is no surprise. Lack of class seems to be quite contagious these days.

I was suprised at how noticible the booing was even on tv...what a great ending to the game though with Zimmerman hitting a solo HR in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and the score tied!

It wasn't that bad. Most of the crowd applauded. The few guys saying "boo" were clearly being extra loud to be heard.

What you call "lack of class", I call "free speech". Just because someone is rich enough to be elected president doesn't make anyone obligated to respect them.

I have no problem with people wanting to boo the president. Personally I'm a democrat and I don't particularly like Bush, but I would still applaud and respect him if he were to show up at an event.

You respect the office, though... not the man.

I was no big fan of Clinton but I warmly applauded him when he was in Cleveland in the mid-90s to throw out the home opener at Jacobs Field.

You are correct-- it is your first amendment right to boo the President in that situation. It also demonstrates a lack of class-- just my opinion, though.

I totally agree. A baseball game isn't the place to make a political statement. You only boo the first pitch tosser if they suck. GW has an arm though.

It's Washington D.C. It's got a lot of politically correct, self righteous bigots who think they know better than everybody else. Is it any surprise they don't have class?

Remember that post where you called a group of people "faggots"? That pretty much invalidates anything you'll ever say again.

You may not like him but he's still the president. However he's still a d!ckhead and that supercedes anything, which in my book warrants boo's in all forms/forums.
