Are they bringing back "Pentium"?

I noticed some new laptops today have dual core "Pentium" i assume they are meroms. When did this happen?

EDIT

Oh i just found that they have a Pentium E2000 for the mobile Allendales. Interesting, and thanks for confusing everyone again intel.

The Pentium name is coming back; basically a Core 2 with half the L2 cache and minus some features (VT).

Hmm, I wonder why they'd do that.. the Pentium name isnt exactly a good selling point as part of a new PC or laptop.

pentium isn't technically a good name.But facts are that its one of the worlds best selling names
U"ll find pentium processors in most company offices etc....

More people know what Pentiums are than what Core 2s are. The 'average' computer user couldn't tell you the difference, and would probably prefer the former based on name alone.
