I received a email from ZAYO USA LLC regarding the rebated I submitted for my PDA purchase, which I bought from Mobile Planet. There was never any discount or clearance stated at mobile planet's site....what can I do....I tottally think they are just trying not to give me my rebates....can someone help me out please?

Dear Mr. Tsai,

Thank you very much for your support to ZAYO products. We just received
your rebate request. However, ZAYO is no longer honoring the $50 rebate to
the products that purchase at the blow out price at which you made your
purchase from Mobile Planet.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.

Thanks,
ZAYO USA LLC

Did you meet the terms as they were stated on the rebate form?

I just had Parago try to screw me out of a rebate on a hdd from Staples. Luckily I sent it signature confirmation and Maxtor stepped up and made them pay me. Staples was of no help and ignored me. I filed with the BBB abd the Florida Attorney Generals Office against Parago.

No, they cannot arbitrarily decide not to honor the rebate.

If you don't meet their terms and conditions, they can refuse to pay up.

So the bottom line question is: do you meet all of the criteria established in the terms and conditions of the rebate? If so, write 'em back and tell them that, along with a nice threat to send a copy of all thes to the Federal Trade Commission.

Everything was filled in correctly, rebate was submitted on time, infact rebate is still valid even now....

the reason they said they r not honoring it is because they said I purchased the item at a "blow out price" which to me was totally BS because mobileplanet didnt' say anything about these items on clearance or on sell and the price I bought for $300.00 is no where near a "blow out price"

So you met the terms and conditions of the rebate. Write back and tell them that and that you're going to write to the FTC and their state's attorney general unless you get your fifty bucks.

Make them decide that it's cheaper to send you fifty bucks than find themselves in court.

I did send them a email, and with a little note saying about filling with legal authorities.....but they seem to just ignored me.....no replay for 2 days.......

No, they dind't have the rebate on mobile planet's web site, the only rebate was on Zayo's main web site which they just took off yesterday....-_- I still have the copy of the rebate in my computer in pdf though.

The store where I purchase from Mobileplanet is clearly listed as their authorized dealer on their website.

so wat r my steps FDC , or general attorny or BBS?

You must write them a physical letter. You need proof that you actually sent them a hard copy of this info.

1. Learn to spell so they will take you seriously.
2. Write a letter outlining the rebate requirements and how you met them.
3. Inform them that you have met their obligations and you expect them to live up to the agreement.
4. Attach copies of rebate documents that you submitted.
5. Give them a time frame to respond to you and inform them that if they do not you will take further actions as necessary to include filing with the BBB and the (insert state there are in here), Attorney General's Office.

The FTC and the Attorney General's office can take legal action. The BBB is useless but you might as well throw them in for good measure.

You could also file a lawsuit. You would most likely win (including recovering your court filing costs), but the trouble of going to court might not be worth it.

staples pulled that crap on me once and I mailed them a nice letter that pointed out that I followed the rebate form to a tee and that if they did not honor it I would never shop at their store ever again and I would make sure to tell everyone I know how staples screwed me over. They promptly mailed me the rebate.

Thanks for all your help, I will try my best to write a formal letter and mail it to them....would be hard cause my english kinda sux:) but its okay, i'll try as long as they understand, its fine with me.

It really pissed me off when i got the email from them saying they can't give my rebate because I bought the item at a "blow out price"

I do not know how much the item was suppose to cost, but a PDA that I paid $299 is not a Blow out price for me.

really wanna tell them to just shut the fk up, give me the rebate and eat sht.

Very appreciate all of your help, I'm writting a letter now: ) thanks.

Hm....

I called them and this is the info I got from the lady....

They are not honoring the rebate because the rebate is only valid for the original msrp price, and the company Zayo Tech, is closed, so they are just cleaning up their mess.

She also claimed that she told the website admin to take off the rebate from the website and does not know how I got it(I got it through a direct link on google.com search)

Also because the company is closed, and they r losing money by selling at such a low price $299.00<--low price?? They don't have $50 to send to me..

And the whole time she was basically saying sorry about the situation, and want me to forget about the rebate because the price was already so low.....

So What shoud I do now, shoud I just let the $50 go...or should I fight for it...cause appreantly they will not give me the rebate because they r losing money......

so...wat now?

You are not responsible for their mistakes. That $50 was promised to you by their company and they had better give you the $50 or else...(see comments above).
