Newegg has SSDSA2M160G2R5 for $549.00

Amazon/electronica has SSDSA2MH160G2R5 for $485.99.

Are these the same disc, or if not, what is the difference? I haven't figured out what the "H" signifies, if anything. I'm getting one of these to upgrade my work laptop, if there is no or little difference, will probably go with the cheaper one, but wonder if anyone knows.

Thanks!

If I had to guess, I'd say the more expensive is a retail drive and the less expensive is an OEM drive. A retail drive will come with documentation, a 3 yr warranty, a mounting bracket, maybe a few other random things. An OEM drive comes in a foam-padded cardboard box with a 1 yr warranty. The drives themselves will be identical.

The "R5" at the end of the model number signifies that both are the retail editions.

Perhaps "H" has to do with the height of the drive? They make them in two heights, one 9.5, one I think slimmer.

R5 means it comes with installation kit (retail) - 3.5" desktop drive bay adapter to 2.5" SSD adapter bracket, screws, installation guide, and warranty documentation.

01 / C1 is the one without all the stuff.

R5/C1 are 9.5mm thick (comes with spacer for better fitting to laptops) whereas the 01 is 7mm thick.

-H... no idea! Cannot find on Intel's site.
