Here is my current set of ram:
G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
And the new set of 8GB DDR3 that I just ordered (for $29.99 shipped):
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866
This is going into a BIOSTAR TA-970 ATX motherboard with the FX-8350 CPU.
The specs on the ram look identical, and are the same brand. Is the heat-spreaders the only change? Will they work well in conjunction with each other?
