Are these temps too high?

I've had my computer on for several weeks so these are not just startup times. However it's not under heavy heavy load, all I have been doing is web browsing, downloading torrents and watching Xvid videos. No heavy 3D gaming, no overclocking. My internal temps are as follows:

Case tempo: 41 C
CPU (Intel Core 2 Quad): 60 C (average of the 4 cores)
GPU (GeForce 8800 GTS): 69 C (Wow that seems high)
HD: 50C for one and 47C for the other

This room is really hot right now but I don't unfortunately have an ambient room temp. I've been thinking of opening up my case and giving it a GOOD dusting with compressed air to see if that lowers any of the temps.

The cpu temp is too high. The case and cpu hsf might need a good blow job. I take it outside each spring and use a not very powerful leaf blower or reversed shop vac.

The hd temps are pretty high. What kind of case? It might need more fans. Is there provision for one blowing across the drives?

If you're don't need the power, I'd replace that furnace of a gpu with a low-mid range ati.

Yeah the reason for the GPU is because I have a 30" DELL flat panel and at the time I built this system I thought I would be doing at least a little high rez gaming (the native res being 2560x1600) but I haven't ended up doing all that much gaming. I'm going to open up my case latter today and take a look at the fan setup. Sadly I can't even remember what the exact fan setup is. I know I have 2 120mm fans in the back and one in the front in addition to the power supply fan in back. As for the case it SHOULD be a very nicely aerated case as I am using a Lian Li PC 1200.

The HD temps do worry me. I'm going to look into putting an HD enclosure fan in there if I don't already have one.

I was thinking go going as far as opening up the power supply and stock GPU HSF and using compressed air on the heatsinks and other components there.

I had similar gpu thoughts that never materialized but bent over for the 8800gtx when it first came out. :Q

I've had a couple of the beautiful lian li's. They are cooling pigs. I've had to hack and add a couple of fans to the sides and tops + grills, etc. No more lian li's for me. If I had it to do over, I would have just discarded them and gone with an antec or cooler master for cost efficiency.

Be very careful if you open up the psu. Some caps can retain shocking amounts of juice for days.

Yes I know this will be careful.

Too bad as you say this case is a beaut to look at.
