are these temps something I should worry about?

The CPU temp is 48degrees celsius and the system temp is 52 degrees celsius. I am running a 1.8A Northwood at stock voltage 1.5 and frequency. I've had it overclocked before, but the temps above are from today, and I haven't had it overclocked in a few days. It was after a 30 minute spell of playing 3D games. Are these normal temps?

Those readings are from the bios, by the way. I'm not 100% sure I know how to use Motherboard Monitor, but when it says sensor 1 is 52 degrees celsius and sensor 3 is 47 degrees. I assume those are system and CPU, but I don't know how to make sure that's the case. By the way, it says whatever sensor 2 is attached to is at 70 degrees celsius. Is there anything in my system that should be that hot?

I think 52C is a little high for a P4 system (don't know how extreme though since I run an AMD). 48C is definitely too high for a system temp; that's how hot my processor is at idle. Do you have an adequate amount of airflow in your case?.....at least one intake and one exhaust? Also, check out the Motherboard Monitor help file to learn how to set it up properly.

hmmmm, thats a bit on the high side considering that gaming doesnt even put the CPU under 100% load. are you using the stock HSF? also, what thermal compond are you using?

I'm using Arctic Silver compound and the stock HSF. It's a retail cpu. I've had it for several months, and I think this is the first time it's been that high. Seems like it usually hovers around 48 degrees. Anyway, I'm in LA and it's really hot, so I'm sure that doesn't help. I did a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 with the 5 1/4 bay, but I can't imagine that generates very much heat. It's in the top bay, so I dunno if it's disrupting air flow, but maybe it is.

Also, in my original post, I had my system and cpu temps inverted. The CPU was at 48 degrees and the system was at 52 degrees, which doesn't make any sense to me but that's what it said.
