Are these temps right?

I have been monitoring my CPU temps lately and I was wondering if these temps could be right. I installed motherboard monitor and it says that the temps are as follows:

Under 100% Load:
Case: 17 C
CPU Diode : 34 C
CPU Socket 53 C
Room temp is 20C / 68F

The bios reads 30 C on startup.

First off, do I look at the Diode or Socket readings?
If the Socket reading is the case then I dont think that these could be right, maybe I'm wrong. Here are my specs. Any advice would do. Thanks

CPU: AMD XP 2700+ (not overclocked)
VIDEO: X800 PRO
3 HDDS
3 80mm intake fans with 35 cfm each
1 120mm outtake fan with ~70-80 cfm
1 90mm cpu fan with ~ 40-50 cfm (pushing onto heatsink)
Thermalright SLK968U with articsilver5
plus PSU fan with unknown specs

It just seems a little high to me. I mean I have heard of people getting 50+ C on stock heatsink/fan. This just seems a little high concidering I didn't skimp on the cooling.

I have question along these lines as well...I installed mbm5 a few days ago, and right now, it's telling me in my sys tray that my case is 40C, and my cpu is 29C. I know for a fact that this is impossible. I'm running a whisperrock IV and I'm thinking that the settings are screwed up somewhere, but I wouldn't know where since I just installed mbm with the default settings. What should I check to correct this?
