My AMD 4200 X2 cpu temp is idling @ 49c. While running pcmark2005 it will get up to 53c. The mobo is 29c. The system consist of

Asus A8V Deluxe
true430 psu
1gb corsair ram
ATI aiw 9800 pro video card
1 dvd burner
1 cd burner
3 internal hd's

I have one intake fan on the lower front of the case and 1 exhaust fan on the upper back of the case. I am not overclocking and everything is stock. I can get the temp down to 40c with cool & quiet but I experience system "FREEZES" with it so I am not running it. If I take the side panel off the temp will also drop 5-8 degrees c. Are these temps ok? Would a new case help?
Thanks

I powered down the system, unplugged and discharged it. Felt the stock HS and copper tubing. Was almost cool to the touch. Ram was warm to the touch, but only at the slot connection. Could this mean I am getting a bad reading? Also temp at the intake (front) was 82F. Temp at exhaust was 92F.

Ran Motherboard Monitor 5.0. I get a CPU reading of 27C. That seems more like it. How accurate is MM? Ambient room temp is 82F.

Idle @ 49C and load @ 53c??? Doesn't make sense to me. So many variables. What case do you have? What fans? I do not own an X2, but an educated guess on idle cpu temp, your room temps, no oc'ing, good case airflow, and proper HS install would be around 42-44C. 27C cpu temp would not be possible in your room temps even with cool&quiet enabled. 27C mobo temp would be. I don't use MBM.
