Asus SmartDoctor says, "Your VGA chipset fan isn't functioning well!
You may need to replace it with a new fan." because I'm not using the stock fan and it can't read the rpm of the Vantec Iceberq 4 that is plugged into the chassis fan plug of my mobo.
Other info SmartDoc gives are NVV10 is 1.47 and 3.3V is 3.46...I'm not familiar with this or if it's a good thing?
Asus PC Probe says the chassis fan is 4963rpm is this desirable?
Anyone have a clue on installing the ram heatsinks that came with the iceberq onto the GTS? They came with thermal tape pieces but how is it suppose to stick on the chips when only one side is sticky? Instructions didnt help me much:
-Peel off sticker on thermal tape.
-Use thermal tape to bond heatsink onto memory chips.
I used AS5 for the Iceberq which held the fan on pretty good while I was working on putting the 2 pins in.....will some AS5 work for the ramsinks and hold them in place? And which part gets the sticky part of the thermal tape, the chips or the ramsinks?
thx
p.s. Also my chaintech gef4 TI4200 and slot1 PIII 1ghz fans seem to be going out anyone have any recommendations on what to get for them?
