Lately when I boot up my machine (running Win2k), it would take a really long time on the WINDOWS loading screen. After the progress bar is filled, it would give me a BSOD saying that there is a hardware failure and if it's the first time I saw this, I should reboot. I did and the second time around, it would boot into Win2k fine. This has been happening a few times throughout the last 1-2 weeks.
Earlier today the same thing happened again but instead of the usual BSOD message, it just said there was some sort of hardware error. I hit the reboot button and the computer went through the usual POSTING, autodetecting drives and such. But this time it was weird because the harddrive access light stayed lit even after the reboot. And when it came around to auto-detecting the primary harddrive, the system hung. I had to power off and on and it is working again.
Is this a sign of impending doom???
