Are these good idle temps?

Idle temps are meaningless. Put the CPU under 100% load (LinX, Prime95, OCCT, etc.) and then measure the temps.

Clockspeed and multiplier are misread, your min temps are reported in °C but your max temps are reported in °F?

No, why would I Photoshop it? I have switched the settings from C to F a number of times so that may be why it's showing both.

In my experience when you change it then it changes all the displayed temps, max and min, at the same time.

Also, why are the reported clockspeeds zero for both the CPU and bclk? And the CPU itself is being read as something funky.

I asked if you shopped it because that would be one way all these observations could be explained.

If you did not shop it, and I am willing to take your word on that, it still doesn't explain all the observed errors in your realtemp output.

Something is amiss, and until that something is identified and addressed/resolved there is no reason to trust the reported temperature numbers themselves, which means there is no basis for me to conclude your idle temps are "good" or "bad".

Try hwmonitor from CPUID. I've seen bugs with it too but not this bad.

That version of real temp is old. I think additonal support for sandy bridge based chips was added in the 3.67 update.

I agree with Idontcare about the photoshop look.

Download version 3.67 of real temp or the beta 3.69.1 and use it instead.

Those temps look fine for stock speeds to me.

Thanks. I know they look OK but my worry was if it was normal for the temp to vary so much from core to core. I just put a Hyper 212+ on yesterday and didn't know if I didn't put it on level, etc.

Core to core temp variations are commen for SB chips.

You could try gently twisting your 212+ back and forth and see if it helps a little on the temps. Maybe a little time on the TIM will also help.
