I have two Master combination locks that I've forgotten the combination for. Is there any way for me to find the combinations for these things? I'd hate to futher fill our landfills with something I could easily reuse.

One of them has a slot for a key, which I suspect is for a universal key. On the back of the locks, there are numbers, and each lock has it's own identification number. I know there's a database somewhere since I saw in high school, way back :), a sheet with serial numbers and their corresponding combinations... LOL :)

I understand the risks to the company that makes these locks if their database was ever breached. But I'm only in need of 2, which below to my locks. I do have the locks, physically, in front of me. And no, I'm not a hax0r :D

LOL :D

There's not attached to anything :)
Just thought I could reuse them instead of contributing to the landfills.

lol, you could do this:

Lost combos

For security and liability reasons neither HPI nor Master Lock Company provides combinations to end users by phone, mail or e-mail. However, if the padlock is not secured to anything you may send it to:
HPI-On-Line
P.O. Box 1326
El Cajon, CA 92022-1326

with a check for $6.00 each. We will then return the locks to you with the correct combinations. Some may find it less expensive to simply purchase new locks, others may find some locks to be sentimental in value.

heh, for $6 each, I think I'd just contribute to my nearest landfill :)

I saw my friend unlock my dudley lock by opening it up half way and listening for the clicks when they came by. The friend's dad was a cop so I figured thats how he knew how to do it. worth a shot I guess...

I have a friend who you'd give a master lock to and he'd give it back next day with the right combination.. still don't know how he did it.

LOL locks with sentimental value... I wonder who actually would do this.
