Are these basically the same?

pretty much the same, the default voltage for ddr is 2.5 ... the kingston stuff may allow you to operate at the 2.6 for better overclocking if thats what you are planning to do.

personally I like the corsair stuff better, tho the kingston is less expensive

well i did, then i was looking through the trade section, and you guys find some awesome deals, so im gonna try to save a few bucks, hey might add up to half of another 6800GT, never know....
 
just get whichever is cheaper, kingston in this case. They both seem have the same specs (correct me here if im missing something) so neither will run faster than the other.
