Are these 2 drives compatible for a RAID 1 setup?

Is there a reason why you wont buy two the same? While it will work it's always best to go the same drive anyway since one will tend to lag behind and slow down the whole system. If you're using hardware raid then it depends on the card.

Also in my experience seagate drives perform bad in raid. At least the consumer grade, no experience with commercial grade.

I already have one drive and I saw an awesome deal for another that was very similar. I'm just gonna wait a little longer to buy the EXACT same drive and get a new mobo.

Also going to switch out the Seagate for a Western Digital of the same capacity that I have, because I have more bad experiences with Seagates anyways.
