Are there usually big sales the day after christmas? I'm trying to find out if that would be a good time to go shopping for hardware that I need.

yes... the malls are jsut as crazy as the day after thanksgiving. lots of sales. its the second busiest shopping day of the year.

Ehhhh...dangerous urban legend territory.

The first through the 4th busiest shopping days of the year are the days leading up to Christmas. Black Friday is the 5th busiest (usually) - it's just noted since it's the first day retailers start turning a profit.
