From my THREAD about my broken showerhead.

Fed law says the max gpm is 2.5, but i dont need 2.5gpm. i want to save even more water.

All the inexpensive showerheads (<$10) i've seen are 2.5gpm. (I went to both Walmart and Lowes.)

Are there inexpensive 1.0 gpm showerheads? if so, LINK.

Federal law resticts them to 2.5 gallons per minute. Consumers want as much water as possible. Therefore, virtually all shower heads supply 2.5 GPM.

Good luck finding anything else.

Next time you shower fill a gallon jug, pour over head for period of 1 minute, make sure you want to save this much.

? How does one "save" water? It doesn't magically disappear after you use it... It goes down the drain and back to where it came from... eventually.

Especially when grey water is pretty damn easy to clean compared to black water.

Rig a valve (if you don't already have one) and turn the water pressure down coming into the head. Problem solved.

i vote for quicker showers.

or find a shower head that can be turned off and on, so you can wet urself, turn the shower head off, lather up, then turn it back on and rinse off.

Heck, I live in the middle of nowhere with pathetic water pressure... I'd kill to have 2.5 GPM. I actually increased the pressure tank's trigger point once, because of that... 0:)
