Are there rechargeable AAA batteries that have ...

Are there rechargeable AAA (NimH / LiIon??) batteries that have more than 1,2V (or maybe even a little bit more than 1,5V) and more than 550mAh ?

I have problems getting my Palm m125 working with these rechargeables (they worked fine with my m100) and I was wondering if there might be stronger AAA batteries available (more mAh so they last longer and more than 1,2V so the palm thinks they are non-rechargeable batteries)?
I couldn't find them at normal stores and was wondering if I can get them at electronic/special stores?
But since I couldn't find any info on the net I was wondering if there are any like that available ...

Standrad voltage for AAA batts is 1.2V. You may find more capacity (mAh) in different brands but not much. The liIon's will be the best capacity wise. they're also the most expensive.

There was a shortcut in the notepad that let you set the type of batteries being used (and thus, the voltage level detection for the battery gauge).

I don't know if this is your only "problem" in getting your m125 to work, but IMHO there's really nothing better economically than NiMHs in a palm.

The Powerex AAA NIMH batteries I got from here Thomas show 700 mAh at a minimum of 1.2v.
BTW I think the link I gave you is the best place to buy batteries on the Web.

They are but SunnBattery.com's eBay auctions are also fantastic, as long as you know what you're buying. I think in the next few weeks I'll get 8 AA 1800 mAH NiMH's with MAHA 3 hour quick charger and car adapter it's been going for $39.95 plus $6.50 shipping, not bad for one of THE BEST rechargeable products out there.

I know about the Shortcut.7 "hack" for palms that sets them to accept NiMh batteries but somehow the m125 models are more picky and don't accept all rechargeable AAA models (eg mine 🙁)
Since I have to buy new rechargeable batteries because of that anyway I thought it best to get the longest lasting ones (with the most mAh) out there ...
Looks like 700mAh at 1.2V is the best you can get (with NimH - I found Alkaline rechargeables that were even more powerfull but they weren't worth the price difference ... ~$10 for ONE battery + extra chargere!!)

I sent you a PM of this thread's URL just so you knew it was updated with the how to use NiMH's with Palm info.

Question: are you beaming? That seems to be where most people are having problems with the rechargable AAAs. My visor neo will not beam with the battery set to NiMH. So I just switch on beaming and change battery types prior to beaming and turn it all off afterward.

@Rossman
Well, even with the palm set to NimH NOT ALL RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES WORK WITH IT!!
(The setting just sets the algorithm used to calculate remaining battery life: normal batteries gradually get lower while NimHs provide full power until the end)

@cavingjan
No! My palm m100 funtioned fully with rechargeables and I still have to get new ones for my m125 (but with one normal and one rechargeable battery it works just fine).
This must be a handspring problem ...
