Are there plans to fix the lag problems with the MX1000?

I noticed that they finally released the MX1000 bundled with a keyboard (combo is called the MX 3100). Does anyone know if there are plans to fix the lag issue with the MX 1000 mouse, or are they just planning on leaving it as it is? Also, I've noticed that it's been very difficult to find the Cordless Desktop MX Duo in stock recently (I ordered one from overstock, but they went out of stock after I ordered). Did they stop making them in favor of the other combos?
