Are there mouse feet that don't degrade?

I got a Logitech G5 on Friday. One of the things I noticed was how well it glides compared to my xx month old MX1000. Today, however, I'm noticing it's not quite as slick as it was when I first got it, and it's only two days old!

Should I go back to using a cloth mousepad to stop the deterioration of my mouse feet, or what? Are there any good third party mouse feet that don't deteriorate?

I'll recommend this thread. I'm sure these feet will degrade eventually, but it's been about 10 months and I haven't noticed any degrading at all. Once they do, I won't hesitate to order another set. I don't use a mouse pad at all, just my wood desk.

Sweet. Just ordered a set for $5 for my MX1000s, if I like them I'll probably return or sell this G5.
