Are there more "all in one" MBs like the ECS K7SOM?

I don?t really care for upgrade possibilities in this case
But I can?t seem to get any info on the MBs with CPU built in (other than ECS)

Are there other manufacturers with same products?
also along shot but are ther motherboards with every thing on ? (including RAM)

tnx

ECS made some last year (I think they were a version of the K7SEM). ECS also has an L7VMM3 with soldered on mobile t-bred Athlon.

If installing the HSF has you worried, P4/celeron retail HSF installation is painless, no dragging a HSF spring clip with a screwdriver.

I can't think of any other reason why having the CPU / HSF pre-installed is superior to an uninstalled bundle at the same or cheaper price.

If you don't mind my asking, I would really like to know why you're interested in an all-in-one solution where the cpu is soldered on?
Don't mean to pry, but curious.

Basically I?m looking to build a system that is ?foolproof? to the maximum
So the less removable parts there are the better

Ever see a USB port ?loosened? with a screwdriver because the mouse didn?t ?go? in?
That?s the sort of home this is going to

If I could get a soldered case with every thing in it lock stock and floppy I would

If they pry off the HSF, an AMD CPU is fried anyway. If it's soldered on it just means you can't replace it.

Hmm, maybe you could replace the case screws with hex screws instead of phillips? If they can't get the case open they can't mess things up.
