Are there KotOR unofficial patches?

i want to play this game again, and heard some stuff about unofficial community patches, but cant seem to find any of them. anyone know if these are real or not? thanks!

I know there is for the second game, but as for the first game, I don't know. I don't believe so, hopefully I'm wrong again.

Last I looked there were only minor ones like lightsaber cosmetic changes. It's KotOR II that has had 2 major restoration projects, one of which (Darth Stoney) was finished:

The more famous one was from Team Gizka but they fell apart near the end, then decided to keep all of their work private and not let anyone else finish it or build from it. Apparently they gave in to the lure of the dark side, in the bludgeon-puppies eeevil style of KoTOR I.
