Are there IDE cables for more than 2 drives?

I want to add more drives but there are only 2 ide places on the Motherboard.

Instead of IDE, I'd say go SATA if you already don't have the IDE drives. SATA is faster.

If you want more space and you are to capacity with your IDE devices, but haven't bought anything, SATA is faster and you can go for it. If you're asking because you have a new HD but have no place to put it, getting an PATA IDE controller is all you need.

Hi, Sata just may seem to be faster because it is serial and is rated in BITS PER Second and not BYTES per second as IDE and all parallet devices are. You have to divide by 8 to get bits to bytes. Jim

The proper way to phrase it is: SATA can be faster than IDE. SATA with NCQ is almost alawys faster than IDE.
