are there CF (compactflash) to IDE adapters?

IDE and CF are pin-compatible right?

I was thinking I could take a flash MP3 player and then hook the CF header to an external 3.5" HD w/ battery
 
if the mp3 player supports cf2 you might be able to do that but i think you would have to make the adapter, and you might run in to driver problems. they have cf to ide but it is to allow you to use cf cards on an ide channel, not the other way around.
