Are there any websites that help a user with MS Frontpage?

I've never used it before and can't even figure out how to create a link...I highlighted the word I wanted to create a link with then I clicked on "hyperlink" and it doesn't do what I expect it to.

Are there any sites you recommend that I visit that will help me with using Frontpage?

thanks, Ed

This site has some useful tutorials and many good links.

IMHO, those of you who respond in a thread like this with answers like "get Dreamweaver" are nothing more than thread-crappers. He did not ask "Which Web authoring software should I get?" He asked for help with Frontpage. If you have no help to offer, please post somewhere else.

edprush:

I found this, which might be useful regarding the creation of hyperlinks. It pertains to Frontpage 98, but the information may be valid for other versions.

[Oh, heck, I just noticed that the original post is nearly two weeks old. Why are we digging up old threads that ask for help? If the poster still needed help, I would expect that he would either re-bump or re-post.]

SHEESH!

I created a BEAUTIFUL(which I lost when I re-formatted cuase I never got it up) webpage with FrontPage, without EVER reading ANY tutorial or anything. I just looked around and figured it out for myself.

Who says it's old?

intresting replies, i do web design myself, and i tried GoLive 4.0, DreamWeaver 3.0 and FrontPage 2000, and by far FrontPage is superior in every way, more features, cleaner interface, better organized, and much faster to work in, DW of course got its features that are not in FP, but the ease and speed at which you can work in FP makes it better by FAR in my opinion.

oh and FrontPage XP is just awesome, too many new features to list, goto MS site and see for yourself, i have yet to try DreamWeaver 4.0, i will get the trail and try it if i get some free time. i havnt tried GoLive 5.0 either yet. hmm... i guess i will be downloading this stuff this weekend, Adobe better have done some major improvments to GoLive, beacuse GoLive 4.0 was really just awful.

Ed -- which version of FrontPage do you have? I have a Dummies book for FP98 that my roomate left (guess he doesn't want it anymore ;)). If you want it, I'll send it to you if you spring for shipping.

Please get Dreamweaver 4.0. I never knew HTML but I created my website (down in my sig). And with the clean coding that dreamweaver does, I know what codes do what. Basically it taught me all the html I'll ever need.
